Arc Flash D-Ring Extender
The Tech Safety Lines Arc Flash D-Ring Extender is an 18 in. Kevlar extender designed for use with the 4.5 ft Arc Flash StepWise® Single Leg Lanyard. It extends the dorsal connection point of a full-body harness, making the D-ring easier for the worker to reach when attaching or removing the lanyard.
Why It's Used
A dorsal D-ring can be difficult for a worker to reach while wearing a full-body harness. The Arc Flash D-Ring Extender brings that connection point into a more accessible position, simplifying lanyard attachment and removal while maintaining compatibility with the intended Arc Flash StepWise® fall-arrest system.
When paired with the 4.5 ft Arc Flash StepWise® Single Leg Lanyard, the 18 in. extender creates a 6 ft total system length.

Important: Do not use the D-Ring Extender with a lanyard if the resulting total system length exceeds the lanyard's shock-pack rating.
