The patented StepWise® is a fall arrest lanyard engineered to protect against suspension trauma. Unlike a standard fall arrest lanyard, its built-in webbed ladder gives a suspended worker an immediate foothold after a fall — relieving the full-body pressure of harness suspension and providing a safer, more stable position while awaiting rescue.

Why It's Used
Suspension trauma is one of the most dangerous outcomes of a fall arrest event — the longer a worker hangs motionless in a harness, the greater the risk. The StepWise® directly addresses this by giving the suspended worker a place to stand, not just hang. Its built-in anchor point is also designed to work in conjunction with the SRK-15®, enabling a fallen worker to perform a complete self-rescue — safely lowering to the ground without assistance from other workers. The StepWise® doesn't just arrest a fall — it supports the worker through it.

Also incorporated into the StepWise® Lanyard is an anchor point for use in conjunction with the SRK-15®. By using these two tools together, a fallen worker can perform a Self-Rescue – safely lowering oneself all the way to the ground without assistance from other workers.

This fall protection lanyard is 3rd party certified by UL in accordance with ANSI/ASSP Z359.13-2013. All connecting hardware is compliant with ANSI/ASSP Z359.12-2019.
