The 3M™ DBI-SALA® Lad-Saf™ X3 Detachable Cable Sleeve is a mobile fall-arrest sleeve designed specifically for 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) Lad-Saf™ vertical cable safety systems. It follows the technician during ladder ascent and descent while maintaining continuous connection to the vertical lifeline, with dual independent locking systems designed to arrest a fall.
Why It's Used
Technicians climbing fixed ladders need fall protection that moves with them without requiring constant manual repositioning. The Lad-Saf™ X3 travels along the vertical cable as the technician climbs, providing hands-free mobility while remaining ready to lock onto the lifeline during a fall.
Unlike a permanently attached traveler, the X3 can be installed or removed from the cable at any point on the system. Its swivel design improves mobility during climbing, while an integrated energy absorber and fall indicator help manage fall-arrest forces and simplify post-fall inspection.

Compatibility
The Lad-Saf™ X3 6160054 is designed specifically for compatible 3M™ DBI-SALA® Lad-Saf™ Cable Vertical Safety Systems using 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) cable.
It is compatible with approved 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) 1×7 and 7×19 Lad-Saf™ cable configurations.
The X3 6160054 is not intended for use on 5/16 in. (8 mm) cable.
This product is the detachable cable sleeve/traveler only. Compatible Lad-Saf™ cable, top and bottom brackets, cable guides, and other system components are sold separately.
Each X3 sleeve is designed for one technician. Where an approved Lad-Saf™ system supports multiple simultaneous users, each technician must use a separate compatible cable sleeve.
