3M™ DBI-SALA® Lad-Saf™ X2 Detachable Cable Sleeve 6160030

The 3M™ DBI-SALA® Lad-Saf™ X2 Detachable Cable Sleeve/Traveler connects the user to a vertical lifeline and moves smoothly with them during ascent and descent, providing continuous fall protection throughout the climb. Its dual independent locking system maintains constant attachment to the harness while allowing the sleeve to glide freely along the lifeline, making it suitable for a wide range of jobsite applications.

The device can be attached at any point on a vertical lifeline, helping keep workers securely connected while climbing. It features a Saflok™ steel carabiner and two independent locking mechanisms designed to enhance security in the event of a fall. Constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for durability in harsh environments, the Lad-Saf™ X2 is designed for use with 9.5 mm (3/8 in.) and 8 mm (5/16 in.) vertical lifeline cables — making it the more versatile choice when a system needs to accommodate both cable sizes.

Ideal For
Tower climbers, ladder access workers, and industrial maintenance teams whose ladder safety system uses either 3/8″ or 5/16″ cable — or who need one sleeve compatible with both. (For systems exclusively using 3/8″ cable, see the Lad-Saf™ X3, optimized specifically for that cable size.)

Proper training is strongly recommended prior to use. TSL offers hands-on Fall Protection Awareness Training to help teams build the skills and confidence to use this equipment safely.

Designed for ease of use, economy, and versatility, optional brackets and designs are available for bolting or welding the system, with a choice of rung clamp sizes/styles, systems for straight or curved ladders, and connection to wood, concrete, or steel structures. Hundreds of different brackets, styles, and configurations are available to suit almost any application. The versatile system can be used by up to four workers simultaneously for added job-site flexibility.
