Petzl® GRILLON Work Positioning Lanyard

The Petzl® GRILLON is an adjustable lanyard designed to create a work-positioning system when used in conjunction with an appropriate fall-arrest system. Its fine-adjustment mechanism allows technicians to quickly and precisely set their working position, with single- and double-mode configurations for different anchoring and work-at-height applications.

Why It's Used

Technicians working at height often need to maintain a stable, hands-free position while performing tasks. The GRILLON allows the user to precisely adjust the distance between the harness and anchor, helping create a comfortable and controlled working position.

Depending on the application, the GRILLON can be configured in double mode using the harness side attachment points or in single mode from the ventral attachment point when the anchor is positioned above the user.

The GRILLON is a work-positioning lanyard and is intended to complement an appropriate fall-arrest system.

Key Features

  • Adjustable lanyard for work positioning
  • Fine-adjustment system provides precise positioning at the workstation
  • Can be configured in single or double mode
  • Double mode supports positioning from harness side attachment points
  • Single mode supports positioning from the ventral attachment point with an overhead anchor
  • Pivoting cam provides controlled adjustment in double mode
  • Handle provides adjustment in single mode
  • Sewn terminations help reduce bulk and increase durability
  • Plastic termination sheaths help hold connectors in position and protect the rope from abrasion
  • Removable protective sheath protects the rope from abrasive contact and improves rope glide
  • Color-coded label identifies lanyard length
  • Replacement ropes and other spare parts are available
  • Available in seven lengths from 2 to 20 meters

Compatibility

The standard Petzl® GRILLON is sold without connectors, allowing compatible connectors to be selected according to the user's harness, anchorage, and system requirements.

The GRILLON is designed for work positioning and must complement an appropriate fall-arrest system.

In double mode, the GRILLON connects to compatible harness side attachment points when the user is working with weight supported by the feet.

In single mode, the GRILLON connects to a compatible ventral attachment point when the anchor is located above the user.

Connectors, harness attachment points, anchorage, and fall-arrest equipment must be selected according to the complete system configuration and Petzl instructions.
