The Tech Safety Lines 6 ft. FF StepWise® Single Leg Fall Arrest Lanyard combines fall arrest with built-in post-fall support for workers at height. Its patented webbed ladder gives a suspended worker an immediate foothold after a fall, helping relieve harness pressure and providing a more stable position while awaiting rescue or preparing for self-rescue.
Why It's Used
A fall-arrest lanyard can stop a worker's fall, but the worker may remain suspended in their full-body harness afterward. The StepWise® addresses what happens next by incorporating a deployable webbed ladder directly into the lanyard.
The ladder provides a foothold that allows the suspended worker to stand and relieve full-body harness pressure, creating a place of refuge while awaiting assistance. An integrated rescue connection also allows the StepWise® to work with the SRK-15® Micro Rescue Kit for trained workers who need to transition from fall arrest into controlled self-rescue.
