Petzl® ASAP’SORBER Energy Absorber

The Petzl® ASAP’SORBER is a compact energy absorber designed specifically for use with the Petzl ASAP® or ASAP® LOCK mobile fall arrester. Available in 20 cm and 40 cm lengths, it creates working distance between the user and the safety rope while progressively absorbing energy during a fall.

Why It's Used

Workers using a mobile fall arrester may need additional distance from the safety rope to work efficiently while helping protect the rope from tools, equipment, and active work areas. The ASAP’SORBER extends the connection between the worker and the ASAP® or ASAP® LOCK while maintaining the energy-absorbing function required as part of the fall-arrest system.

During a fall, internal webbing tears progressively to limit the impact force experienced by the user. The 20 cm version helps minimize potential fall distance, while the 40 cm version provides additional working space away from the rope.
