The BEK is purpose-built for one of the most challenging rescue scenarios in wind energy: extracting a disabled worker from deep within a horizontal blade back to the hub. Every component is pre-assembled and ready to deploy, so rescuers can focus on the worker, not the equipment.

  • 4:1 Pre-Assembled Haul System — Sealed, high-efficiency pulleys manage the full weight of an incapacitated worker with minimal effort.
  • 37-Meter Tag Rope — Attached to the worker upon blade entry and used as the retrieval line to guide them back to the hub.
  • Complete & Ready to Deploy — All necessary components included for extraction of an unconscious worker from a horizontally positioned blade

This equipment must not be used unless and until you have received direct, personal instruction from a qualified instructor experienced in all phases of vertical rope work. Such instruction must include a full evaluation of your understanding of, and ability to perform, all tasks necessary for the safe and proper use of this equipment. Do not attempt to use this equipment under any circumstances until you have been instructed, evaluated, and expressly deemed competent by your instructor.
